1) If you could "probably " sing your songs, you "probably " should do some karaoke or choir and get comfortable singing. Do plays, start a band, jam with others, whatever it takes to get comfortable doing music making outside your private writing areas. 2) The professionals make "demos " (recorded versions of their written songs with instruments and singing) to send to record companies. Practice your songs like you will be cutting a demo. 3) Post your songs where they can be seen. Everyone screams "someone will steal them! ", but you can save a copy on your computer to prove it's yours. I do this all the time. People "copyright " their songs when they believe they have a good chance to make money off them. It's expensive, but if you're a professional it's a business expense. |
