Question: Writing a song, need help?

I want to write a rock song. Not just any rock song i.e. nickelback, weezer, or fall out boy. I want something with meaning. Like green day's time of your life. Or rise against's prayer of the refugee. I want to write a basic song with power chords and simple drum beat. or im open to acoustic. anyways. i cant think of any topics. can you please list topics or write a verse (sentence or two) i really need help. please 10 points for the best answer guaranteed!

Write a story about someone like green day does nowadays tragedy is always inspiring so put this character through some tough times dealing with death or dead end in life. I got you started here but your gonna have to write the song yourself

Hey dont have somebody give you topics on what to write. music should come from yourself. If you dont know what to write about, then write about not knowing what to write about. it's real and gets you thinking. you can't go right into writing a deep and groundbreaking song without any practice first

Try to write a song on what the war situation, economy, health care, etc. in the USA will be like in 25 years. Pine for 2010, when we could have made a difference.
