Help with song writing?
I've been trying to write songs recently. I love the style of Taylor Swift's songs as they are very meaning full and well written. I would love to be able to write like her but find it difficult at times. I know you should have inspiration and write from experience, but when I come to actually write about it, I can't put the words together in a way that sounds good or meaningful. I love the song 'Tim McGraw' by Taylor and it's songs like that I want to write. If anyone has any advice on song writing, I would love to hear it, especially advice about putting the song together. E.g. choruses, refrains, how to start, what order to write the song in etc. In case any of you are wondering, I own both a guitar and piano so please don't say write with them.
