I act in school plays, and I need auditions and an agent, but for right now thats not the problem I need an answer for. I can sing. Not VERY good, but I'm okay... I think. Anyways, I think it would be cool if I wrote a song, but I don't know what to write about. I always say to myself, " Write about something that got you mad or something " but it doesn't work. It just frustrates me.

Use school or other things to come up with Ideas. And go from there, ask others if it sounds good.

Having an instrument you can play is important. I recommend piano. If you understand music theory and chord progressions you're WAY more likely to come up with a good melody. Taking some theory classes would be a good idea. My main advice would be to write something, a poem or whatever, without trying to put a melody to it right away. If you try to do words and melody at the same time, you're guaranteed to get frustrated. Also, don't be afraid to let some time elapse between when you write the words or melody then put it together. I find that time is one of the best ways to get inspired. Good luck!

Try writing a song at least once a day, no matter how stupid, short, long or confusing it is. it'll be hard at first but then you'll get the hang of it then sooner or later a song you'll actually be proud up will pop up :) its going to be hard at first but if it's something you really want, it's worth it. this technique has been used by some of the biggest performers and songwriters out there. hope that helped. :)

I'm a singer myself! I write songs and I think that I can give you very good advice! Okay, in order to write a good song, you need to write about something you've been through, something you've experienced yourself. If your boyfriend or girlfriend broke up with you, write about that and how you felt if you have experienced it. Do not write about being a famous singer, cause you're not yet and you do not know what its like--you have no experience. That's the most important thing in songwriting. Also, make sure you know the most commonly used remedy: Verse Chorus Verse 2 Chorus Bridge Chorus. Verse: the beginning of your story-- how your experience started. Chorus: how you felt during your experience. Verse 2: more telling of how it started CHORUS Bridge: mainly talking about where you are now and how your experience has changed your life CHORUS Also, when you first start writing songs, don't expect the first one you write to be the best song ever. When I first started writing songs, I was 8 and they were horrible. Now I'm 11 and I've experienced more so now I've written very good songs. Always remember to never give out your songs to anyone because they can steal it and put it on their record and make all the money--they have the right to if you do not have copyright. Just remember: EXPERIENCE I wish you good luck in the future! Hope I helped! God Bless You!
