Question: Tips on how to write songs?

Whenever I write a song I like it at first and then shortly after, I think it's stupid. I can't seem to write a good song no matter how much I try. Is it normal for song writers to second guess if their song is good? There are things I want to write about, but when I do it just sounds cheesy and stupid. Any tips on how to write a good song?

Hey, i have problems like yourself.. but sometimes you have to make mistakes to make it the way you want it.. i like to write a line and think of all the words that ryhme with the last word.. like write out the alphabet and match the word and see which one fits.. do you get it?? i will change it alot.. even weeks after until it fits.. just dont give up on the song.. if i think one is terrible then i will take the bits i like from it and start again! goodluck.
