Know my scales, can play, not so creative, tips?

Its not exactly song writing. its just coming up with w/ e u want to. like my dad tells me. just play different parts of different scales on different frets and strings. it works. and some thing just seem to turn out amazing.

If you know the scales then try some improvisation within the notes and up and down the board. Try to learn new songs though as you need the descipline of keeping to a set track and timing.
