Hey guys.. well i have always loved singing and now im trying very hard to make something out of that hobby. But i could use a bit of help because i have been feeling very discouraged lately. so if possible, can anyone name a few websites you know that you could take lessons on song writing singing guitar please? or that i could just download using adobe reader whatever its called . thanks.
Any Tips for Guitar song writing?
Please note before answering I'm not writing lyrics So don't post anything about that.I am writing an instrumental song using my guitar. I want to make songs that sounds something like Fade To Black by Metallica. If anybody has any tips or tricks or hints to help me it would be appreciated. Everytime I get a good riff the song always seems to get fucked up or i can't continue writing the song because it just sounds terrible and the riff sounds like its been used so i trash evry song i write because i suck at writing instrumental songs. AGAIN I AM NOT WRITING THE STUPID LYRICSplz help out a fellow guitarist XD
Guitar Song Writing Tips and tricks?
I like to play and listen to classic rock like Fade to black by metallica. Can somebody give me tips on how to write great songs like they do? Any Tips would be useful. The problem I face is that every note i try to add to a song im writing seems to ruin it and i feel i need to recreate a different song everytime. I don't really like to use chords though. Only Power Chords. Plz help a fellow guitarist outEDIT I'm trying to write the instrumental Part of the song for guitar im not writing lyrics.Everytime I come up with a good riff either its been used before or i can never find a part to link it with the other riffs it always ends up this way it gets me very angry. Guitar song writing ideas? Anything relating to music/lyrics is welcome.?
I'm currently trying to write some new chill songs on guitar. Yes, at 3am. A lot of my playing influence comes from Jason Mraz, William Fitzsimmons, and others of that ilk. I also listen to a lot of oldschool metal like Iced Earth for instance, and draw inspiration. I'm stumped right now though. I have bits and pieces of lyrics I've come up with. I have random riffs and a few weird ass chord progressions with no pattern. Oxymoron? The thing is I am very critical of the things that I create alone, and am a huge perfectionist. Thus it takes me literally months to write an entire song including lyrics. I'm looking for some song ideas from you guys. Throw anything at me. Something funny that happened to you, something serious that happened to you, your favorite chord, favorite song of this genre, a line that I could throw into the lyrics, whatever. Who knows, I might end up writing a song about your sister who got knocked up on Christmas. Leave something if you made it this far.

i want to record a song from my guitar to garageband on the internet but i want a cd quality with drums and all that what software can i get thats free that will let me just put my guitar that i recorded into mp3 format into the software an duse some fake drums and stuff?
Guitar song writing and such...?
alright so basically i worked through it got a song lyric written out... still have a bit of tweaking on it but basically i've got all the words... 3 verses... a chorus... a bridge... now the only problem i have is i can't seem to find the right music to go with iti'm doing acoustic guitar and i'm trying to figure out like what to do... its a ballad so like a story so it's obviously a little slower than a regular song but it's not a sad song so I just need some help on how to find your music that goes with your songand also i'm not super experienced in this so musical theory is still coming along i have the basics but also if you could explain what play in a key means that'd be awesome but yeah been playing for about 6 months now but i'm getting along nicely so i'm not guitar stupid anymore but just some of the theory i don't know yet so yeah P don't talk to me like i know everything your about to say...
